United Airlines Business Class (Int)

United Airlines has a new Business Class for their international services. It seems that since emerging from Chapter 11 the focus has really been on re-creating the brand.

It is well known that generally the US airlines fall behind others around the world in regards to product and service offerings. The Asian and Middle Eastern airlines set the benchmark with a hand full more thrown in from places such as Europe and Australia.

It is fantastic to see that United Airlines is really focusing on their product. The new business class seat for international flights now brings them in line with the competition with the current generation of fully flat seats.

This could be a bold statement, but you could say United Airlines is pretty much the leader with their Business and First Class products from a US airline!

The new product was launched in July 2007; the roll-out will take 36 months to complete and will be installed on 747, 777 and 767 aircraft – a fleet of 97.

At this point in time they have completed all 767 aircraft and 96% of 747’s. Retrofit of 777’s will begin in 2010, which covers 46 aircraft.

The aim is to provide an optimal space to work, sleep and relax.

At United, we’re making the world truly fully flat for our first and business class customers.
